日本人にとって音楽に合わせて踊るということはいったいどういうことなのでしょうか？
私は自分の過去や周囲の現状を見てこれは「移動」がその内容であると分析しています。
つまり立ち位置を移動することを音に合わせるのがダンスであると殆どの日本人がそう思っているということなのです。
それではDANCEの本場の英国ではどう考えられているでしょうか？
彼らは地上を移動するのではなく空間を移動するのが DANCEだと捉えているようです。
つまりDANCEを踊れる空間いわゆるBALLROOMをLODという時間の方向に向かって踊っていくのがDANCEだと思っているようなのです。
つまり日本の「地上移動」に対して西洋の「空間移動」とでも言うべき図式が出来上がっているのです。
これでは日本のダンスはいつまでたっても西洋人の足下にも迫ることは出来ません。
しかし西洋人とてこれが完璧とは言えないのは彼らが日々苦悩して更なる上を目指していることからすれば用意に類推出来ると思います。
彼らが目指しているのは「神の一歩」なのです。
これを解決するのは「ホールド」という存在です。
日本人は床に立つ為にホールドを使い。
西洋人は空間に存在する為にホールドを使います。
それでは神は何の為にホールドを使うのでしょうか。
ヒントは「時間」です。
